‘If I could be a Princess’, by Rhea
My name is Princess Rosie and I am eight years old
I live in a castle covered in gold.
My hair is golden with a silver crown,
I’m going to the ball with the Prince and wearing a beautiful gown.
Along with my family I live with Sarah, my best friend,
We play with a ball together until the day ends.
I have a bed made of feathers with marshmallow pillows,
And a garden of golden flowers and silver willows.
My cook makes me flower cup cakes for my tea,
And from the dining room window a butterfly I can see!
I have lots of money and a kitten as a pet,
I’ve just travelled to magic stream, my best day out yet.

My cook makes me fish, chips and pizza for my tea,
And from the dining room window a rabbit I can see!

I’m an alien called Ben, I come from outer space.
A planet called Apples is my base’
I have one thousand fingers and nine thousand toes,
White is the colour my skin glows.
My spaceship is black and goes super quick,
It has a laser and switches that click.
For lunch I eat sausages covered in green goo,
Then I’ll go to the space zoo, you can come too!
My alien best friend is great, Harman is his name,
We play treasure hunt, what a fun game.
Bonjour is how we say hello in alien speak,
If Harman could see me now he would shriek!

I’m an alien called Dinosaur, I come from outer space.
A planet called Duck is my base’
I have two fingers and one toe,
Silver is the colour my skin glows.
My spaceship is kite-shaped and goes super quick,
It has a laser and switches that click.
For lunch I eat carrot and pear covered in green goo,
Then I’ll go to the colourful planet, you can come too!
My alien best friend is great, King Zuki is his name,
We play alien chess, what a fun game.
Blah-blah is how we say hello in alien speak,
If Kyle could see me now he would shriek!
’If I could be a Zookeeper’, by George
My name is George, today I’m a keeper at the zoo,
I’m looking after the elephants and the hippos too.
As soon as I get there, I feed the elephants, it’s great,
Then I must feed the tiger some meat and I can’t be late!
All the giraffes are very big and tall,
While the mice are so tiny and small.
Those naughty monkeys just hang on trees, what a cheek!
Can you see the crocodiles? Come closer and take a peek.
I’ve stopped for lunch to eat fish and chips, and then a tasty bun,
I’d love to eat with then lions, it would be so much fun!
The elephant makes trumpeting noises, what a riot,
While the ants are always peaceful and quiet.
’If I could be a Zookeeper’, by Vicente
My name is Vicente, today I’m a keeper at the zoo,
I’m looking after the tiger and the hippos too.
As soon as I get there, I feed the lions, it’s great,
Then I must feed the tigers some meat and I can’t be late!
All the elephants are very big and tall,
While the ants are so tiny and small.
Those naughty monkeys just swing on trees, what a cheek!
Can you see the dolphins? Come closer and take a peek.
I’ve stopped for lunch to eat hot pot, and then a tasty bun,
I’d love to eat with then elephants, it would be so much fun!
The lion makes roaring noises, what a riot,
While the giraffes are always peaceful and quiet.
’If I could be a Zookeeper’, by Ella
My name is Emily, today I’m a keeper at the zoo,
I’m looking after the giraffes and the hippos too.
As soon as I get there, I feed the hippos, it’s great,
Then I must feed the monkey some bananas and I can’t be late!
All the giraffes are very big and tall,
While the baby zebras are so tiny and small.
Those naughty monkeys just throw banana skins, what a cheek!

I’ve stopped for lunch to eat jam sandwiches, and then a tasty bun,
I’d love to eat with then lions, it would be so much fun!
