Continuing a story, set in Anglo-Saxon times, about being kidnapped: by Naomi The cold morning air made me shiver and I awoke. The old woman threw a stone at my head and shouted, “Get up, lazy pig!” and threw me into a muddy puddle. She kicked me out of the door and said, “Go and get some water!” I had bare feet. I felt lonely and miserable. I missed my Mom and Dad. I missed when my Mum cuddled me. I missed my food and when my Dad and I go and make spears together. I missed playing with my brothers. I wondered if I would be here forever and ever in this horrible place. I kept thinking about my parents and how they told me how to escape. I tried, but the cold blooded woman kept following me. I couldn’t escape. by Toby The cold morning air made me shiver and I awoke. “Get up, you lazy pig,” said the old woman. “Here, you get the breakfast. If your lucky you might get the left overs, if your quick,” the old woman said. Then I asked, “Can I sleep inside tonight?” I thought that was not a very good idea and I was right. She threw a spear at me. I nearly got hit. I was lucky. “No!” shouted the woman. Once she threw the spear, I felt miserable, lonely, hopeless. Would I be stuck in this hell hole for ever? Papa: Don’t be so rude, Albert. Mary, will you please bring in the food? Mary: Yes, Sir. (Mary leaves and returns with the food. She serves it) Papa: Thank you, Mary. (Takes a sip of wine.) Fanny: This is lovely. (Smiles.) Albert: Urrgg! It’s not cooked. (Pushes food away) Papa: Albert! Stop it or you will eat your food in the nursery! Albert: Yes, Papa. (Pulls food back, but too far, so the plate falls off the table) Papa: Albert, go straight to bed! You broke the plate. Emma: Oh my gosh! Who’s going to clean it up? Papa: Mary is. (Turns to Mary) Mary! Mary: Yes, Sir. (She kneels down and starts to eat the food off the floor.) Papa: What are you doing, Mary? Mary: Doing what you said, Sir. (She backs away.) Papa: I didn’t ask you to eat it off the floor. Mary: Sorry, Sir. Papa: You are fired! Mary: Yes, Sir. (Said with a bit of food in her mouth.) Papa: Now go! Mary: Yes, Sir. Fanny: So we can’t have any pudding? Papa: Yes, no pudding. You children should be at Sunday School. Now go! Albert: Owwww! Papa: Don’t do that, Albert. Sit up straight! Now GO! Emma: Come on, let us go. (Sighs) Tudor Letters Form 4 was asked to write the letter that either Henry the Eighth or Catherine of Aragon might have written to each other.
