Story beginnings: ‘The Magic Mystery Box’ by Lars

Jamie knew that his dad said never go down in the cellar, but he was curious, so in his football t-shirt he crept down to the cellar. As he climbed down he heard an unusual sound. Jamie froze to the spot, but he kept listening. It was someone who was talking. It whispered, “Go into the cellar or die.” He felt very scared. He had never heard a sound before. He tiptoed into the cellar and saw a box. It said on it, “Open box.”

Tom sighed as his sister, Mary, got triple A- and began to boast. He kept getting F-. his teacher always said, “Why can’t you be more like your sister Mary. If you won’t get triple A, you’ll get detention.” Poor Tom. That night he could not sleep. He had a nightmare…

I was in Southampton at night and it was scary and creepy and there were echoes everywhere. I heard a zombie and I saw it eating a chocolate cake and he ate it all! I said, “That’s not fair!” I saw one slice of cake and I heard the zombie coming, so I took the cake and ran away.

Story beginnings: ‘The Magic Mystery Box’ by Harvir

Paul was suspicious because right in front of him there was a fabulous box. In the box he could see magic and it was all gold. He touched the magic and when he touched it again he became magical. In the morning he went to school. While everyone was doing their work his teacher said that they were not allowed to make any mistakes. Paul made a mistake, so he magicked up a rubber.

 ‘The Tunnel’, by George

Once I was walking along beside the train station. I decided to go inside the station. Suddenly I was looking straight at a tunnel. It looked very mysterious. I decided to go in. Suddenly, as soon as I got in, everything went bleary. Then I was somewhere else.

Then, suddenly, a green thing jumped out of a tree. I saw two eyes pop out of the green thing, then four legs, then two arms. I saw it was holding a sharp blade in each hand. Next it said, or made a noise, “Eeeeeeeee, caaaaaaaaa!” Then loads and loads of things like it jumped out of bushes and trees. There were blue ones, green ones, grey ones and even black ones. Then the green one said, “Eeeeeeeee, caaaaaaaaa!” again. Then they all ran at me, raised their blades and all screamed at the top of their voices, “Eeeeeeeee, caaaaaaaaa!” They all charged at me as fast as a speeding bullet. I ran back to the tunnel as fast as I could. When I got there I saw that all of the things were zombies, but they let me go.

Then I woke up in bed, but my shoes had the same mud on them as on the ground of the zombies.

‘The Tunnel’, by Taewoo

One day, I was at a park where I found a hole. After I found it I jumped down into it. Then I looked carefully and I noticed it was a tunnel. I shouted for help because it was a deep one, but nobody came. I could not get out so I stayed sitting there for a while. Then I heard someone coming towards me. It was a lady who wanted help. So did I, so we helped each other to get out of there. We found lots of items on the ground to help us. Then we found a torch that actually worked. We were stuck because there were two holes on the way, but we found a map and compass, so we got through. Then we saw a light in front of us, but it was our torch light. Then a rock fell down and made us jump. Then we found a hole which we climbed and finally we got out of the tunnel.

I wish I could fly to the moon before

My moon card runs out

I wish Harry Potter was real.

He could cast a spell on me and

If he did

I would have a force field to protect me!

I wish I was a Transformer to crush everything in my path

And kill every enemy.

I would transform in to a machine

And I wish I was a big bug to eat everyone.

I wish I was a skilled football player

And scoring goals.

I wish I could fly as high as a spaceship.

I wish I could ride a skateboard like the big boys.

Inside we learn about everything

We have a lot of reading and writing.

Outside the wind comes in our faces

And we have lots of fun.

The best thing is we can run

And see leaves falling off the trees

I like to be outside and inside.

With lots of different patterns

And lots of beautiful colours

I wish I wore it all day.

I wish I could be a pop star

Then I’d go on television

Then thousands of people will watch me.

Then I would be rich.
