My Journey into Space by George, First Prize

Once upon a time there was a boy called George, One day George was playing in the garden when all of a sudden a glimpse of something caught his eye. It was a pointed looking thing. When George went over to the thing he found out that the thing was actually a space ship. George got into the space ship and started to fly. When he was in space he got blasted by a meteor into a strange looking planet. Suddenly loads of aliens took George and the space ship and threw them onto a meteor and the meteor took them home. George left the spaceship and the aliens took it away to space again and George never found it.

Once upon a time a man called Joe learnt how to read the stars. He goes outside at 9pm, to read the stars. Then one night he saw the star of space. That means you will go into space. Joe said, “I will go into space.” The next morning he went to the space station. The rocket was so big it could have been taller than a giant. He went in the space station. He got on the rocket and he took off. He saw Mars, the Moon, Venus and Pluto and then they went home. They told their families about the journey.

At Easter time I went to my nana's house and when I got there she gave me an Easter egg. I said thank you. The next morning I woke up at nine o'clock and had my breakfast. For breakfast I had pancakes and they were delicious and then I washed the thimbles. My nan has three hundred and ninety seven. That is quite a lot of thimbles. After lunch for pudding I ate my Easter egg. It was yummy, but in the middle there was a baby dragon. I had some great fun with the dragon. We climbed trees but he always flew up to the top and flew down, so he was cheating. I did not get very fond of him. The next morning I opened the window. At first I thought he was going to fly but he did not do so. I had a look at him. He had red eyes and green skin and he had spikes down his tail. Then I opened the window again and he flew out of the window. I missed him.

Once upon a time there lived a girl called Alison and a boy called Bubbafett. They all wanted to go to space and they asked their Mum and Dad and they said yes. They went into their rocket then Alison pushed the button and the rocket flew up to space and they went to a planet and they saw an alien and he came and tried and tried to break the rocket and Bubbafett was very angry and he came to the alien. can you stop it said Bubbafett and the alien ran away and they thought it was a nice3 planet to live on.

The Mysterious Egg, by Abiola, Commended

Once upon a time there was a little girl called Orla and one day she saw a big mysterious egg. Then the egg popped open and a little green head popped out and everybody laughed and laughed from seven o'clock till eight thirty. The green head started to laugh too, “ha-ha, ha-ha, ha!” But then the whole wide world started to laugh too and then everybody on the whole wide world started to laugh too and everybody was laughing. It was too late to laugh but they did not mind as God was laughing too but they didn't mind. By then God was so, so, so, so angry because he knew they didn't have Easter eggs.
