‘The Key’, by Jack

One day Nadim goes to the school. He sees the paper. He picks up the paper and he reads it. The paper says, “Go to the strange house! And here is the key.” He went to the strange house. He said, “Here is very strange.“ Suddenly he pushes the door. He sees the giant bee. The bee says, “Why doesn’t anybody like me?” And the bee opened his eyes and said, “You like me?” Nadim said, “Yes.” The bee said, “Please take some magic food.” He goes to the witch house. The witch sees Nadim and Nadim sees the witch. Nadim runs to the door and he pushes the key in. There is a lot of magic food. He takes one magic food. He goes out of the witch’s house. He jumps to the gate. He goes to the tree house and he eats the magic food.

‘My Amazing Discovery Under The Sea’ by Himani

One day I was having a luxury break by the beach. There were nice palm trees. I got my swim suit out of my handbag. I took my handbag under the sea. When I was in the sea I found a clam which had a pearl in it. The pearl was beautiful. I put it in my handbag. Next I saw a coral reef. I took a piece of coral. I put that in my handbag as well. Suddenly I saw a mermaid. “Gosh!” I said. It was beautiful. I took a picture of it. It had a scaly fish tail. She became my friend. We had little adventures with each other. I took pictures of King Neptune. I had to go but I gave her a hug. On my way back I found some treasure. I ran to my cousins and told them what I had done. They wished they had gone.

‘The Key’ by James

One day I was walking in the wood when I saw a key. I saw the key on a tree. I put the key into the tree. Inside the tree I saw a ladder leading to a tree house. I wanted to see what was in the tree house so I climbed up the ladder. I saw a keyhole in a treasure chest. It was the same shape as the key so I put the key in the treasure chest. I saw treasure. I took it home and told my mum. The next day I spent all the treasure.

‘The Key’ by Mariam

One day when I went outside I saw a key hanging on a branch. The key had a star on it. I saw the key fall and I saw a map. The map had a picture of a lake, a house and a tree house. When I saw the lake I didn’t see a boat, but I saw a swimsuit. I swam in the swimsuit. Next I had to find the house. I saw the house behind me. Then I found the tree house. I climbed the branches then unlocked the tree house and went inside. When I went inside I saw a treasure chest. Inside the chest I saw a lot of toys. I played with the toys and it was fun.

‘The Key’ by Jordan

In a land far away there were pirates, five pirates. Their names were Jordan, Jack, Jonathan, James and Alex. Then a key came out of nowhere with three evil witches. Their names were Serena, Mariam and Himani. Meanwhile the pirates crashed on an island and Jordan found a treasure chest and the key fitted and they opened the chest. It said, “Go to the castle of Doom.” They were half way there until a monster jumped out but they saw they saw the castle and made it. They met the witches and they froze them. “No!” said the witches. They got the box and when they looked in the box it said the treasure was knowledge.

‘The Key’ by Jonathan

One day I was walking with my mum and a key dropped out of the sky. Then I wondered what keyhole might it be for. Then I saw a note. On it it said, “Go to a castle.” When I got to the castle I saw a keyhole and I tried it and it did fit. Then I saw a wizard and he was French. He said, “Bon jour.” And I said bon jour back and he said “Would you like to have dinner with me?” “I would like to, but I have to go home. I will see you later. I am going home now. Bye, bye.

My Spring Holiday, by Jonathan

I went to Devon and it was great fun. I went to Boscastle and it was very high. When I got to the top it was a long way down. I also went to the Milky Way and there were bumper cars. I went on them. Then we had a picnic and we watched the birds of prey. Then I went in the park and I watched a ferret show. The ferrets went through tubes. Then I went home.

My Spring Holiday, by Alex

I went to Lanzarote. The flight was four hours long. We had to go straight to bed. The next day it was hot. The swimming pool was cold. Dad and I went to the Crazy Golf course. I got a hole-in-one twice. I went in the swimming pool. In the pool there was a cave, but we weren’t allowed in it. I took a lion and tiger.

My Spring Holiday, by Himani

The day we broke up for our Easter holidays I went to India. We went by National Express to Heathrow Airport. Then we went on a plane. It took eight and a half hours.

We got to the airport and walked to the conveyor belt. We got our bags and left. My grandpa and grandma picked us up. We went to their house. My auntie saw us. I thought everything was the same but there were some changes.

When it was lunch time I picked my cousin called Yugaant up from school, then we went to the park. Then it was bedtime. The next day we went shopping. I bought some nice shoes. I also went to the District Centre to buy some CDs. We also went to Ahuyour. I saw my uncles, aunties, great gran and my daddy’s aunties. With them I went to Amritsar to see the Golden Temple. It was beautiful.
