Alice D, Form 6

Hello, my name is Alice D and I am 10 years old. I’ve been at St Winifred’s for six years and I am in Form 6.

I would like to convince you to vote for me to be your school council member because I am a team builder and a good performer.

The reasons for me thinking this are, firstly, I do a lot of sport, dance and I like acting, so I persevere, focus on a goal and have a lot of endurance.

Secondly, I have been in the school council before and found it a very satisfying experience which gives me creative thinking and I know how the meetings are run.

A further reason is I have good ideas and enjoy working in a team. Also I am reliable, sensible, can speak in public and would make the meetings friendly.

So these reasons show that I would make a wonderful member of the school council.

SO VOTE FOR ME!

Charlotte, Form 6

Hello, my name is Charlotte and I am 10 years old. I have been attending St Winifred’s for two years and I am in Form Six. I would like to explain why I would be a great, fantastic, first rate good candidate. There are several reasons why I would be a fabulous representative.

The chief reason is I keep going. When I was nine I did not know how to swim. Now at my swimming club I did my 200m, 100m, 50m. A further reason is that I listen. At Brownies I listen to everybody and I am a Sixer.

So you can see why I would make a fantastic candidate – so vote for me!

Alice B, Form 6

Hello, my name is Alice B and I am 10 years old. I have been attending St Winifred’s for two years and I am in Form Six.

I would like to persuade you today that I would make an excellent School’s Council representative.

The reasons for my thinking are, firstly, I would consider it a privilege to represent my classmates on the council. I am very proud to be come to St Winifred’s and to represent you all in my final year would be a great opportunity to help the school.

Secondly, I am polite and a very good listener, especially with young children, and I very much like to help with them as well. As a nursery prefect I understand the needs of our youngest children and therefore could represent their interests.

Another reason is that I am friendly and approachable and I promise to try and help anyone who asks for assistance if the problem is big or small.

Therefore, I am sure you will agree that these reasons show that I would make an excellent school councillor. I am honest, caring and hard-working. If you vote for me, I will not let you down.

Thank you for listening.

A further reason is that I can listen to other ideas and sort them out, often in the play in the playground at break.
