Second Hand uniform
General
guidance
Pupils attending the school must wear the correct school uniform.
Each item of uniform must be clearly marked with the pupil’s full name.
All games clothing must be kept in the appropriate games bag when not being used – not a carrier bag.
Boy's hair of extreme lengths (less than a grade 3) and styles are not permitted. Hair should be of its natural colour.
Girls’ hair longer than shoulder length should be tied back at all
times. Hair ribbons should be of a navy blue colour. Slides or hair bands
should be of a dark colour. Hair should be of its natural colour.
Makeup and nail varnish are not permitted.
No jewellery may be worn in school, except for one plain gold ear studs,
in both ears. No sleepers or other earrings may be worn.
The school will not accept responsibility for the loss of, or damage to
watches or ear studs.
The regulation items of school uniform is stocked at Stevensons; and most items of uniform can be obtained through them. Any items
below which are marked with an asterisk (*) can be obtained from the school
office. There is also a second-hand uniform shop at the school, which
is open once a month during term time.
Your attention is drawn to the fact that rules regarding uniform are accepted
when the admission form is signed. If, however, uniform is unavailable,
then allowances will be made until the supply is delivered.
Please contact the school office if you are in any doubt about the requirements
of uniform or regarding the purchase of anything that may be unacceptable.
General
equipment
Lower school
- Regulation long-sleeved, blue overall for handwork, painting and
lunchtimes.
- Small brown, black or navy blue satchel or backpack*.
Upper school
- Brown, black or navy blue satchel, briefcase or backpack*.
- Fountain pen or ink pen, with blue or navy blue ink*.
- Dictionary, such as Heinemann, Collins or similar. Not a junior dictionary.
- Art smock or old shirt.
- Electronic calculator*.
- Pencils and colouring pens or pencils*.
- Geometry set with a clear protractor*.
Please note: Stationery is on sale on Wednesday mornings before school.

Nursery Girls summer uniform
- White, ankle or ankle-length socks.
- Regulation school summer dress.
- Navy blue, brown or black shoes or sandals – not open-toed
or sling-backed, and no suede or patent.
- Anorak or jacket, preferably navy blue or dark-coloured.
Nursery Boys winter uniform
- Regulation blue long-sleeved polo shirt.
- Regulation grey shorts or trousers.
- Navy blue or grey knee-length socks.
- Navy blue, brown or black shoes – not suede or patent, and
no trainers.
- Raincoat, anorak or duffle coat, preferably navy blue or dark coloured.
Nursery Boys summer uniform
- Regulation blue short-sleeved polo shirt.
- Regulation grey shorts.
- White knee-length or ankle-length socks.
- Navy blue, brown or black shoes or sandals – not open-toed
or sling-backed.
- Raincoat, anorak or duffle coat, preferably navy blue or dark coloured.

Nursery Games

- Navy blue, brown or black flat-heeled shoes – not suede or
patent, and no trainers, boots, open-toed sandals or sling-backs.
- White or light blue hair bands and ribbons may be worn with the summer
uniform if preferred.

6 girls do not have to wear the boater.

- Regulation navy blue V-neck pullover with school stripe.
- Regulation grey flannel trousers or shorts.
