St Winifred's School is an independent, co-educational day school for children from two through to eleven years of age and incorporates the April House Early Years Department.

St Winifred's School was founded in 1880 as a Girl's High School and co-educational preparatory school. In the 1970's, it became associated with The Gregg School.

St. Winifred's is an independent school catering for around 100 boys and girls in the main school aged between five and eleven years of age. The school also has an Early Years department (April House) offering places for about 40 pupils. April House is fully approved and can accommodate pupils receiving Nursery Grants.

The school aims to provide the very best in primary education for its pupils - blending the requirements of an up-to-date National Curriculum 2000 with an enriched programme of study and opportunity.

The Gregg and St Winifred's Schools Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.  It is also committed to opposing all forms of discrimination and ensuring that it provides equal opportunities in employment.

St Winifred's School is a member of ISA and ISCis
