Year 7 Camp

Camp week was extremely enjoyable for me; mostly, I enjoyed the giant swing, as well as all the other activities – every one of them was great, and the staff at PGL were very kind, never telling people off and always encouraging them. The giant swing was by far my favourite activity, because when you go from the top to the bottom, it makes your legs go numb. I also liked the food, and I enjoyed socialising a lot.

One particularly enjoyable activity was the fencing; not only was this an interesting experience, but it provided numerous amusing incidents, such as when we were told to pretend to be animals such as elephants and cats as practice. Overall, camp week was a highly enjoyable experience, and I am very glad to have gone. I feel that it provided useful opportunities to get to know my friends better, and also to have a wonderful time.

Year seven camp was an enjoyable trip, I spent the week bonding with people I wouldn’t normally bond with and made lots of new friends. Having adventurous activities was one of my favourite parts; I enjoyed the giant swing as my legs went numb and I was amazed how much I loved this activity. The zip-wire was great too; it was really thrilling and exciting. Fortunately the PGL staff were extremely enthusiastic and kind, they encouraged us to try our best and conquer our fears.

I really enjoyed camp week a lot. I liked most of the food and the instructors were really nice. My favourite activities were giant swing and quad biking. Giant swing was so cool because you’re hanging about 30 metres in the air and then you pull a rope which releases you and you swing extremely fast and far. The only down side was you are hanging and the harness feels like it was stopping the blood circulation in my leg!

Quad biking was really fun because it feels very fast and you get 7 laps but the circuit is quite short and my goes didn’t last long because I was going so fast. The rooms were really nice. The food at the tuck shop was really cheap so you got to buy a lot, not that I ate that many sweets of course!
